Our flagship framework

The SpaceXTech AI Factory

A repeatable system that turns your backlog of AI ideas into governed, accepted products. Same path, same gates, same evidence every time, whoever does the building.

Backlog Scored & prioritized Intake gate Data, owner & access ready Delivery teams Reusable assets In production Monitored & owned
Five stages

One path for every AI product

Discovery is time-boxed. The committed delivery clock starts only when the work order is accepted, and it pauses for any delay on your side that we log.

1

Discover & size

Frame the problem and score readiness, size and risk.

Work order accepted
2

Prove value

Test the idea on real data before full spend.

Go / no-go
3

Design & build

Short sprints with working demos.

Design approved
4

Integrate & test

Systems, model and security tests, then user acceptance.

Acceptance signed
5

Launch & hand over

Controlled release with monitoring in place.

Formal acceptance
Inside each stage

What happens, what you get, who signs off

Activities

  • Frame the problem and success measure with the business owner
  • Profile the data and score how ready it is
  • Run a security and AI risk check
  • Score the six sizing measures

Outputs

A use-case card, readiness score, size band and written acceptance criteria.

Gate: work order acceptedSigned by your AI delivery lead

Every product ships with

Runbook Model card Data lineage Drift alerts & retraining Workforce-impact note Evidence pack Code in your repos
Sizing calculator

Six measures set every product's size and time box

Size isn't a negotiation. Score each measure from 1 to 3 and the total sets the delivery band. Try it with an idea you have in mind.

Choose one option for each of the six measures. The result updates as you choose.

Systems integrated

How many systems does the product connect to?

Data readiness

How ready is the data you need?

Model class

What kind of model does it need?

Inference mode

How quickly must it respond?

Agentic autonomy

Does an AI agent take action?

Approval span

Who needs to sign off?

Worked example: equipment maintenance alerts

Sensor and maintenance data from two systems, a new pipeline, a multi-feature model scoring in near real-time, no agent actions, and sign-off from IT and the operations team.

Rules that keep sizing honest: scores within one point of a boundary get a joint review, and if there's no agreement the lower band applies. Fixing defects never justifies a bigger band. Every score sits in a register you can see.
Governed by design

Agent autonomy is set per product, and signed off by you

Every agent gets a level on the autonomy ladder before it's built. Moving up a level is a decision, never a drift.

Signed agent charter
Own identity, least privilege
Every action logged in your storage
Kill switch and rollback
A human always approves irreversible actions and anything that affects customers, money, legal records or safety.
L0Recommends
L1Drafts; a person acts
L2Acts after confirmation
L3Acts within set limits
L4Autonomous, low-risk tasks only

Agents are tested before release for accuracy, prompt injection, data leakage, unsafe tool use and recovery from partial failure.

Capacity planning

Teams planned at 80%, so committed dates hold

A 20% reserve absorbs the usual surprises, like data cleanup and slow access requests, without moving deadlines. Unused reserve goes to the next product.

  • Start with a few standing teams and add more as demand grows
  • Add a team when the reserve is used for two months running, or large products start to queue
  • Prepare the next wave while the current one builds

Every team, every sprint

The reserve is the buffer. It's what keeps dates honest.

Capacity grows with demand

Built for handover

Your team can run it without us

The AI Factory is designed so your people take over, step by step, and prove it by doing the work themselves.

1

Operate

Your team monitors products, runs a scheduled retrain and redeploys in test.

2

Extend

They change a pipeline, update a model and size a new use case.

3

Own

They deliver a small product end to end and govern work from any supplier.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you build the AI products yourselves?
No. We design and oversee the AI Factory. Your engineering team, or a delivery partner you choose, does the building. That keeps our advice independent.
Does the AI Factory work with our existing tools and cloud?
Yes. The framework is tool-agnostic. It defines how work moves, who decides and what evidence is needed, not which vendor you use.
How long does it take to set up?
A typical setup takes 8 to 12 weeks, ending with your first products moving through the gates. After that we can stay on in a lighter oversight role.
What if a product doesn't prove its value?
Then the go / no-go gate stops it before the full build. Stopping early is a feature: it frees capacity for the ideas that do pay off.
